Grootfontein Farm is ideal for a relaxing escape in the heart of the Western Cape. Our self-catering cottage provides comfortable accommodation for one or two people (one queen-sized bed).
The cottage is fully equipped with a kitchenette, outdoor braai (barbecue) facilities, and a small sitting area. The kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, microwave, gas stove, kettle, and basic kitchen utensils, perfect for simple meals.
The bathroom offers a rustic farm experience with a shower, basin, and toilet. Fresh towels and bed linen are provided for your comfort.
Outside, enjoy the cozy seating area with a small table and chairs, and watch our chickens stroll past. Paths around the farm offer short strolls and relaxing spots by the small dams.

Albertinia is a small town located in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. It is situated along the N2 highway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, and is approximately 50km west of Mossel Bay.
The town is named after Johannes Rudolph Albertyn, who was a local farmer and businessman. Albertinia is known for its thriving aloe industry, and the town is home to the Aloe Ferox plantations. The town is also surrounded by rolling hills and farmland, which adds to its charm.
Tourist attractions in Albertinia include the Garden Route Game Lodge, where visitors can go on safari and see the Big Five, as well as the Gouritz River Bridge, which is the highest bridge in Africa. The town is also close to the popular coastal towns of Mossel Bay and Still Bay.
Albertinia is 30 km from Gouritz beach, perfect place for a Sunday walk.
Albertinia has a small population of around +/- 10,000 people and is primarily an agricultural community. The town has a few shops and restaurants, as well as several petrol stations and a post office. The town is filled with friendly people, shopping can be done at the several smaller supermarkets and a Usave. There are several clothing shops including Pep. There is also a small hospital and a senior and primary school in the town.
